Orientation programs are organized mainly to inculcate interest among first year BDS students towards the specialty of dentistry. Regular programs are conducted on topics related to Soft skills, Human value development, Leadership, Personality development, Life style and safety etc for overall development of students. 

Orientation programs are organized mainly to inculcate interest among first year MDS students towards the course. The main focus of the program is to give a gist on various topics related to research and other areas essential for a post-graduate student like  seminar and journal club, basics of photography, power point presentation and computer applications. 

Programs are conducted to motivate and empower students in their physical fitness and mental health. To provide platform for the students to improve their flexibility in body and to reduce stress to enrich their curricular activities. Inspire student community by fostering freedom, creativity and self sufficiency.  

Clinical society meetings are conducted on a periodic basis to improve the knowledge on various disciplines of dentistry. The presentations are done by the undergraduates, postgraduates and faculties. External resource persons are also invited to share their expertise and knowledge on different topics. The platform of clinical society meetings also empowers students to improve their presentation skills which aid their personality and professional development.

Different departments of Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College conduct hands on courses  for undergraduates and postgraduates to foster clinical skills of the students applicable to their day to day practice such as Rotary Endodontics, Implant placement on goat mandible and acrylic models, Hands on course for Cast Partial Denture, Hands on for application of Laser in dentistry and Basic Life Support.

Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College has formed Dental communication Unit, which is unique in training students on effective patient centered communication skills. Orientation and structured training programs are undertaken for students of our institution and other institutions.

Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College also conducts foundation English language classes for second BDS students to improve their language proficiency and communication skill.
