CLINICAL SOCIETY MEET (MARCH) - DEPARTMENT OF PERIODONTICS
- Clicnical Society Meeting organized by Department of Periodontology in collaboration with Student Academic Forum and Dental Education Unit was held on 13th March 2024.
- Dr. Varsha, SAF head welcomed the gathering.
- The program started with Clinical case presentation by Dr. Navya, III yr and Dr. Roshan, II yr Post graduate students.
- Next was guest lecture by Dr. Jananni Muthu, Reader, Department of Periodontology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry, on the topic “Techniques for Wire Retention during Bonding”.
- Resource person was introduced by Dr. Thirumalai. Final year BDS students and Interns attended the lecture which focussed on Indications, Contraindications, types of splinting and Dr. Jananni highlighted different techniques for retention of wire during bonding.
- Followed by hands on for interns on Simple Wire Retention Technique in Typodont models.
- E poster competition was conducted and prizes were distributed by Dr. Jananni. DEU Co- Ordinator Dr. Gayathri delivered the Vote of Thanks.
- The program was informative and interactive for the students.
